Happy

Glad to be home. Glad it's Friday.

Have another L Word DVD to watch. I've lost track of where we are...somewhere in season 4. My sister had warned me that it gets goofier and goofier as the seasons progress, and I'm starting to see that trend. I was excited about the addition of Cybil Shepard, but after seeing her in action, it just seems weird to have her on there. Her character is off. All business one minute, hyper and too happy the next.

We saw a pulverized cat on the side on the road on the way home. Made me worry that Sid might meet the same fate since his is an indoor/outdoor cat. I certainly hope not!

Ugh

I've been stressing over a friend of mine that had a major heart attack...at 34 years old. She has two small children whom she adores. It's not looking good at this point. Her husband has been one of my brother's best friends for a long time. He is a great guy, and I really feel for him right now. I'm praying for a miracle, but as we all know, when it's your time to go...

I guess it's extra hard because she is so young. Just never saw it coming. Really makes me think about how I live my life, and how I interact with the people I care about. You just never know when their time will come. Blah.

We watched a horror movie last night called "The Grave Dancers." Simple premise: three people get drunk and dance on graves. Same three people are haunted by the dead people that were in those graves. Unfortunately, the graves they danced on were those of really bad people. The movie was no academy award winner, but it did have some good special effects, and the ghosts were particularly horrible looking.

In case you didn't know - tomorrow is Friday. This is a good thing.

Smokey Joe

Made a trip to the library yesterday and checked out a book about a person that worked at a library, and all the crazy people that come in to the library. It's called, "Free For All" and though I suspect it will be funny, you never know.

As you know, it's Wednesday which is Ghost Hunters International night. I will be so glad when the original Ghost Hunters returns. It's not that GHI isn't interesting. They investigate some really cool places, but the crew collectively has the personality of cork.

Fresh Start

It has been a crazy week...and it's just Tuesday. Hopefully it will get better from here.

Now that school is about to start, it's making me think more and more about football. The season isn't far away now, and I can hardly wait. I did have a harsh realization when I looked at the schedule and determined that we will be in St. Augustine during Alabama's first game. Even worse, it's not one of those cream puff games, it's a tough one. Aaargh!

I'm sure it will be nationally televised though, so I'm hoping we can make it down there in time to catch it on tv.

Fantasy football will be back in my life soon as well. Lord knows I love it. Especially since I am good at it. I need to stop by Barnes & Noble and pick up a few fantasy magazines so I can start planning my draft strategy. I was less than ONE POINT from winning it all last season. I have no intention of letting that happen again. I WILL BE THE CHAMP!
